After breakfast and complete entry formalities and then drive to Thimphu (Alt
8979Ft / 2736M) the modern capital town of Bhutan. Check in at the Hotel.
If time permits, visit the local market & Centenary Farmers Market &
return to the hotel. Free Evening for leisure.

After Breakfast proceed towards the sightseeing of Thimphu.
Visit Tashichhodzong, BBS Tower, Government Run Handicraft
Emporium, National Memorial Chorten, Buddha View Point, Folk
heritage, National Textile Museums, National Institute of Traditional
Medicine (outside view) and Zoo.

After breakfast, drive to Punakha / Wangdue, On the way Stop at Dochu-LaPass (3150 mts.). to view the higher Himalayas. Arrival at Punakha check in at
hotel. After noon visit Punakha Dzong - built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang
Namgyal. For many years until the time of the second king, it served as the seat of
the Government. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen
Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter
residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first
National Assembly here in 1952. After that, a short and easy hike to visit
the Chhimi Lhakhang - The Temple, also known as “The Temple of
Fertility” was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, “The Divine MadMan”. Evening
free for leisure.

After breakfast, drive to Paro (7,483 ft.). On the way stop at Lamperi to
visit Royal Botanical Park. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Ta
Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious
thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". The
dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Evening free for
leisure.

After breakfast we will proceed towards sightseeing in Paro. Visit the ruins
of Drukgyel Dzong, 18 km. from Paro town on the north side of the valley, Also
visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the
kingdom.

After breakfast we will start our journey towards Lataguri. As it is a long drive
today. We stretch our journey to Lataguri instead of Phuentsholing / Jaigaon so
that there is no repetition of the location. Lataguri is located outside the famous
west bengal sanctuary of Gorumara. This sanctuary has a unique forest type
called “Tarai.” This forest is famous for One horned Rhino and Indian
Elephants..

There is a very high probability of spotting “Big Games” along with a lot of other
flora and fauna. You can enjoy a safari in this forest. But beware, being in the east
this forest opens up early and closes early hence plan your safari accordingly.
Forest to airport drive is just about 60-65km. It is a maximum 2 hrs
journey. Enjoy 5.15am safari and then check out from the hotel and
proceed to the airport.
